Has Japan’s DPRK Policy Reached a Dead End?

When Abe Shinzo was given a second chance to lead Japan, many assumed his government would shift its focus to Japan-DPRK relations. As the int’l community grapples to de-escalate tensions on the Peninsula, however, ‘Japan is reminded yet again how little influence it has over North Korea threats.
